Xuefei(Fei) is a project manager and joined Schmidt Design Group in 2025. Her design sensibilities are deeply rooted in a mountain city in China, where she grew up and natural landscapes were an everyday companion. She moved to the United States ten years ago and earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, where she strengthened her passion for ecologically driven and human-centered design.

Her professional journey spans Singapore, Boston, and San Francisco, giving her experience across a wide spectrum of firm types and project scales. She has contributed to large-scale campus planning and urban design efforts, as well as intimate commercial and residential landscape projects. Fei has participated in international projects in China, Japan, Dubai, and Singapore, along with local work throughout San Francisco and the East Coast.

Grounded in the belief that meaningful connections to nature are essential, Fei’s work centers on creating landscapes that restore, inspire, and bring the outdoor experiences closer to everyday life.
