Alex grew up on the east coast in the Philadelphia area where he found a passion for outdoor spaces and landscape design. He enjoys thinking over the details of urban and natural environments and finds beauty in their intersections. Alex received his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and has continued to explore California and the West Coast since moving to San Diego. He allows his travel, love of music, and pride for his hometown to influence his work as a landscape designer in a world that requires attention to detail and nuanced thinking. He has a background in landscape maintenance and plant healthcare and hopes to bring a holistic design perspective to the team. Alex hopes to create more cherished spaces, foster community connections and promote natural sustainability through his work at Schmidt Design Group and continue to grow his skills as an emerging professional.
