Project Info
Situated between the Angels Stadium in Anaheim and the Santa Ana River, the 3.2-acre linear park will create an exciting regional destination along the expansive 60-mile Santa Ana Bike Trail. The newest addition planned within the City of Anaheim’s network of parks, the Anaheim River Park will be considered the southern gateway to the future OC River Walk. The design of the park draws its inspiration from the intricate basketry and culture of the local Gabrielño/Tongva tribe, reflected in the geometry of the walkways and plazas, as well as in the rich tapestry of plant materials and art. The user is invited to “weave” their way through the natural landscape with its canopy of native trees and views of the adjacent river. The park will host a wide variety of amenities and unique experiences including a winding walking trail, picnicking, children’s play, botanical garden, fitness opportunities, interpretive education, and an amphitheater.
