Elfin Forest

Elfin Forest Recreation Reserve includes 17 miles of equestrian, hiking, and mountain biking trails surrounding a reservoir site. The project includes a staging and parking area, educational and trail signage, picnic structures, and picnic areas along the trails. The project required careful coordination with the project biologist because of the presence of sensitive species. The terrace within the recreation area is rugged, many trails were located on steep inclines. Erosion control for all trail excavations was provided through the re-vegetation of native species.
