Solana Beach Coastal Rail Trail

The Solana Beach Coastal Rail Trail is part of the larger Rails-to-Trails project that includes bicycle and walking trails from Oceanside to San Diego. The portion of trail that passes through Solana Beach was designed to celebrate the edge between land and sea. Crescent moon shaped decks, poetry, paving patterns, and planting all celebrate this concept. Interpretive displays that highlight the history of Solana Beach were included as well as public art and community gardens.
